Are you passionate about healthcare and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care? We are currently seeking motivated and friendly individuals to join our team as a full time or part time (30 hrs Tue- Fri) Medical Administrators. These roles will primarily be based at our East Melbourne/Vermont or Doncaster Clinics.

Eye Surgery Associates (ESA) is a group of highly qualified sub-specialist ophthalmologists offering a range of medical and surgical eye specialist services. The specialists at ESA are supported by a team of over 90 staff, who work in various roles within our clinical and administrative services.As a team we pride ourselves on providing our patients with the highest possible standard of care.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanour.
• Manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule patient appointments and update patient records accurately.
• Handle patient inquiries and provide information about services.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the clinic.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Patient billing, cash handling and reconciliation.
• Appointment coordination and scheduling.
• Surgical bookings as required.
• General administrative tasks and site assistance.

What will you need to succeed?

• Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a medical setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using medical office software and handling multiple phone lines is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Police Check
