Job Summary:
We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented MEP Site Engineer to oversee the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing works on-site, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, coordination skills, and experience working on medium to large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) installation and commissioning activities at the project site.
Review MEP drawings, materials, and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance with design intent and project standards.
Ensure MEP subcontractors’ adherence to project schedule, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Monitor site progress and provide regular reports to the Project Manager.
Liaise with civil and architectural teams to resolve any clashes or issues affecting MEP services.
Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems (HVAC, Firefighting, Electrical, ELV, etc.).
Attend site meetings and technical discussions with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to ensure timely delivery of MEP materials.
Ensure proper documentation including inspection requests (IRs), method statements, and daily site logs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline).
Minimum 3 years of site-based experience in MEP works, preferably within the GCC or similar environment.
Good understanding of HVAC, fire protection, power distribution, lighting, and plumbing systems.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, DEWA, etc.).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and site coordination tools (Revit MEP is a plus).
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in PMP, LEED, or similar credentials is an advantage.
Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection tools
Knowledge of local authority approval processes (if applicable).
