Pony Design Co. is a boutique Interior Design studio located in Summer Hill, in Sydney’s Inner West. We specialise in Hospitality, Retail and Commercial Design and have recently been awarded some exciting projects, providing a great opportunity to expand the collaborative environment within our small team (currently two).

The Role:

We are currently inviting expressions of interest for a Mid-Senior Interior Designer to join our team. The role is expected to commence around June/July 2025.

This role would suit a dedicated designer keen to become a valuable and integral member of our studio. You will be involved in all stages of a project, from initial client engagement and briefing, through to documentation and project delivery. You will need to be capable of managing a variety of projects, working directly with the Director and our 2IC Designer.

You are naturally inquisitive and not afraid to get your hands dirty when needed. You have a keen eye for detail. You are a clear communicator and work well under pressure. You are a self-starter comfortable managing your own daily tasks and liaising with the project team to ensure overall project goals are being met. You are organised, focused, self-directed and proactive.

Successful applicants will have;

• A minimum of 4 years of proven post-grad industry experience in either Hospitality, Retail or Commercial design (ideally all)within Australia
• A strong portfolio demonstrating design and documentation skills and personal design aesthetic
• Proficient ArchiCAD skills (or Revit, with a transition to ArchiCAD) are essential
• Strong technical documentation and detailing ability- in ArchiCAD
• Rendering experience, ideally in Enscape
• Effective hand sketching and visual communication skills
• PC Based (not MAC)
• Knowledge of current Australian Standards and NCC/ BCA Codes
• Must be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Outlook
• Excellent communication (written, visual and verbal) skills
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Good sense of humour

Salary is dependent on experience.
