About the Role
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care to a diverse range of patients. Working alongside a team of doctors, GPs, nurses, and support staff, you’ll collaborate closely to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Consulting with Geriatricians and GPs for diagnostic orders
- Leading Advance Care Planning for residents
- Providing expert advice on palliative care
- Reviewing new clinical treatments, technologies, and interventions
- Maintaining concise and accurate resident records
- Leading educational activities for residents, consumers, and their carers
What You’ll Need
- Qualifications : Registered Nurse with post-graduate qualifications as a Nurse Practitioner
- Registration : Hold or be eligible for endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years as an RN, with at least 3 years in aged or community care
- Knowledge : Familiarity with the Nurse Practitioner Standards of Practice (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia)
- Skills : Strong communication, a compassionate approach to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, busy setting
