Job Description:
We are looking for a an Offshore Decommissioning Engineer who will play a critical role managing on-site project engineering tasks.
Reporting directly to the Offshore Project Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for reviewing project execution documents and producing on-site engineering deliverables, including lifting plans, method statements, job cards, and managing changes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop preliminary lift plans following client's rigging and lifting LOLER procedures. Ensure appropriate lifting equipment is available for each task.
- Provide real-time feedback to the Offshore Superintendent to coordinate activities and maintain project progress.
- Create additional method statements and job cards for new offshore scope and manage changes using the Management of Change process.
- Oversee deck layout drawings, perform clash checks in 2D/3D, and coordinate logistics with the Barge Engineer and MATCO.
- Manage subcontractor engineering, materials, and consumables, ensuring their availability and suitability.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial sectors, particularly heavy lifting.
- Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Naval Engineering.
- Experience in decommissioning, hook-up, or industrial equipment installation (e.g., offshore, nuclear, hydro, or complex civil projects).
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor), with the ability to develop and modify detailed drawings.
- Knowledge in areas such as lifting operations, subsea construction/demolition, welding, rope access, or SPMT transport.
