About the Role
Our rapidly evolving business sector offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative, and passionate team that shares responsibility for the operational quality within our data centers in a supportive environment. With multiple data centers in the country, we are looking for a full-time (40-hour) On-site Data Center Technician to join us.
In this role, you will be part of a growing team of 17 Data Center Technicians, and you will be under the supervision of one of our Team Leads. Together with the team, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade server and network equipment while ensuring a safe and organized workplace.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for maintaining and troubleshooting network and server equipment.
- Execute hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements of network devices, servers, and related components.
- Ensure all upgrades and replacements meet company standards and operational requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to server hardware, including conducting detailed tests to ensure equipment reliability.
- Manage and prioritize tasks using the company’s support ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and workspace, ensuring that all equipment is stored properly and that the work environment is safe and efficient.
- Ensure that our inventory system (EAM) is up-to-date.
Who You Are
You are a proactive problem-solver who takes ownership, works with a high level of accuracy and tidiness, thriving in both independent and team environments. You excel at analytical troubleshooting and have a strong technical understanding of Copper (UTP, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) and fiber optic (MMF, SMF) media, or you have a passion for technology and are eager to learn.
You Also Are/Have
- Proven experience as a Datacenter Technician or in a similar role with a focus on datacenter operations and infrastructure
- Ability to follow specified policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems is a plus.
- Previous experience working with support ticketing and warehouse systems is a plus.
- Electrical certifications are a plus.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Comfortable with tasks that may involve physical activity as part of the role.
- Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.
- Located within a reasonable distance from the office or willing to relocate for a sustainable commute in the long term.
- Driver’s license is a must.
