Project Accountant II

We are partnering with a highly respected consulting firm that supports clients through complex planning and development projects. The team is seeking a Project Accountant II, who will play a key role within the Operations Department by overseeing project financials and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor project financial performance, tracking costs, revenue, and profitability.
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute project financial reports to management and project teams.
• Manage project invoicing and billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with contracts.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable related to project activity, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Support project closeouts and maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and regulatory standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of project accounting experience required.
• Experience with Deltek is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
