About the Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Accountant to join our team! In this role, you’ll support the financial success of multiple projects by working closely with Project Managers and bridging Accounting with Operations. From budgeting to cost tracking and revenue analysis, you’ll play a vital role in keeping projects on track; financially and operationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain budget control reports
- Provide Project Managers with regular updates on job costs, purchase orders, and financial data
- Track invoices, purchase orders, and discrepancies as needed
- Monitor rental equipment usage and duration
- Collaborate on cost-to-complete reports and variance explanations
- Visit project sites to support accurate cost tracking
- Contribute to safety and environmental compliance initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 3–5 years of corporate accounting experience and Minimum 3 years in construction and month-end close preferred
- Familiarity with percent-of-completion accounting
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus
- Strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills
- TWIC eligible
- Team player with strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal field travel
