Looking for a familia?

At LUZCO, we’re more than an engineering firm. We’re a tight-knit team of people who care deeply about what we do and who we work with. As an award-winning, woman-owned, minority-owned boutique engineering firm, we’ve built a reputation for delivering world-class work while creating a culture that feels like home. We’re proud to be a place where you can bring your authentic self to work every day and feel supported doing it.

We’re proud to be recognized as a 2025 Best Place to Work in St. Louis, a reflection of our people-first mindset and our belief that work should be both challenging and fulfilling. Our mission is simple: to provide innovative engineering solutions while building genuine, lasting connections with our clients and each other.

Why You’ll Love LUZCO

  • Benefits that take care of you: Top-notch medical, dental, and vision insurance; a competitive 401k match; generous PTO; and an employee recognition platform that celebrates your wins big and small.

  • Flexibility that fits your life: We get that life doesn’t always stick to a schedule. You’ll work with your supervisor to create a schedule that’s flexible and works for both you and the team.

  • Diversity that fuels innovation: Our team brings together a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. That diversity isn’t just something we talk about; it’s what drives our creativity and helps us find better ways to solve problems.

  • Growth that feels personal: Whether you’re continuing your education, earning new certifications, or stepping into new challenges, we’re here to help you grow in the direction that’s right for you. You’ll collaborate with experienced mentors and leaders who want to see you succeed.

  • A culture that gives back: We’re passionate about our communities. Every year, we dedicate paid time off for volunteering and encourage our team to use their talents to make a difference whether that’s mentoring students, serving local nonprofits, or getting hands-on in community projects.

  • A workplace that feels like you: We keep things relaxed and welcoming. Expect weekly happy hours, team lunches, a stocked kitchen, dogs in the office, and a casual dress code. It’s a space where you can be yourself and do your best work.

The Role

We’re looking for a natural leader who enjoys helping people grow, building client relationships, and keeping projects running smoothly. In this role, you’ll combine big-picture thinking with day-to-day guidance to support both your team and our clients. If you’re someone who takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative environment, you’ll feel right at home at LUZCO.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Lead, support, and develop your team; helping them navigate challenges, stay engaged, and grow as future leaders.
  • Foster a positive, high-performing team culture through one-on-ones, check-ins, and annual reviews.
  • Collaborate with executive and management teams to align goals, share updates, and ensure smooth communication across departments.
  • Manage group and individual KPIs, providing both quantitative and qualitative updates to leadership on team performance, goals, and career paths.
  • Oversee resource planning and strategy execution, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, retention, and workload management.
  • Ensure quality control on client deliverables, exceeding expectations every time.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support to team members on project management tasks.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; communicating needs, expectations, and feedback effectively.
  • Manage commercial construction projects as needed, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Take on additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to the Familia:

Essentials to Succeed:

  • Proven leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and accountable in managing competing priorities.
  • Skilled at client interaction and team management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Understanding of full project lifecycle—from initiation to closeout.
  • Minimum 5 years of facilities or construction management experience, including supervisory responsibility.
  • Experience in leadership and project management roles.
  • Valid driver’s license.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field plus 3+ years of commercial project management experience.
  • Certifications or coursework in Business, Project Management, or related areas.
  • PMP Certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire).
  • Experience with Oracle, Primavera (P6), procurement, materials management, or financial forecasting.
  • OSHA 30 certification.

Ready to Make an Impact?

We know you might not check every single box on the job description—and that’s totally fine. At LUZCO, we care about potential, collaboration, and diverse perspectives. If you’re passionate about joining a supportive and innovative team, we encourage you to apply and show us what you can bring to the familia.
