Cox Purtell is currently working with an exciting independently-owned, multi-generational family enterprise. Driven by a mission to pioneer a vibrant and sustainable future for all, the values-driven business today encompasses a diversified investment portfolio, legacy music catalogues, commercial real estate, an impact-focused venture capital portfolio, and a philanthropic Foundation. As a certified B Corp and Climate Active carbon-neutral organisation endorsed by Work180 for its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, this is an excellent opportunity to join an impact-focused business that champions positive change through advocacy, collaboration, impact investing, and philanthropy.

This is an exciting, broad, and varied position, offering involvement and interaction with every part of the business and real input into the organisation’s strategy. We’re seeking a highly organised and motivated Project Manager to drive process improvements, deliver tech and strategic projects end-to-end, enhance business effectiveness, and lead and support critical operational functions to achieve project outcomes and ultimately the organisation's strategic goals and objectives.

As a stand-alone role, this is an ideal position for an experienced self-starter who wants ownership & responsibility from day one. This role would be particularly appealing to those who are digitally-minded and tech-savvy – with opportunities to explore how AI and GenAI can be implemented to drive business efficiencies.

Your Area of Responsibilities:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performance culture, and you will be an integral part of the organisation, with responsibilities such as:

Project Management:

  • Work closely with the Executive to understand the key business activities and projects, and lead the successful delivery of key projects, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Develop and support the execution of project plans, budgets, and reporting for strategic initiatives including timelines, resource needs, and success metrics.

Business Effectiveness:

  • Identify, define, and manage business effectiveness and process improvement projects across all business activities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Investigate and evaluate the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), and related technologies to identify opportunities for optimising business processes and operations, developing associated business cases as required.

Operations & IT Support:

  • Take ownership of IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and efficiency, in conjunction with 3rd party IT suppliers.
  • Manage relationships with external IT and cybersecurity support providers and ensure effective performance and timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Use risk management system, Protecht, to review, measure, and manage risk across the business.

Your Profile:

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Project Manager seeking a broader role, with the autonomy to drive organisational change and accountability for delivering key strategic priorities.

  • Candidates with related qualifications or equivalent experience are preferred.
  • Proven experience in operational and project management, successfully delivering multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience in driving process improvement initiatives and enhancing business effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
  • Experience managing vendors, particularly within IT.
  • Experience in risk management and reporting, including using risk management software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software.
  • Interest in working in a small, values-based, highly engaged family business environment.
