Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction Position Overview The Project Manager for Heavy Civil Construction will oversee and manage large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage heavy civil construction projects from initiation to completion. Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets to ensure timely delivery. Oversee contract management, including negotiation and compliance with terms. Identify and manage project risks to minimize impact on project delivery. Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards are met. Ensure site safety by enforcing safety regulations and practices. Allocate resources effectively to optimize project performance. Manage procurement processes for materials and subcontractors. Facilitate change management processes to address project modifications. Communicate with stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and updates. Apply engineering principles to solve project-related issues. Ensure regulatory compliance throughout all project phases. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within heavy civil construction. Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and contract management practices. Experience with risk management and quality control in construction projects. Proven track record of effective team leadership and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with design-build project delivery methods. Understanding of site safety regulations and best practices.
