Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications by performing manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to identify and resolve issues before the product is released to end-users.
Key Responsibilities
Test Execution
Perform manual and automated testing of software applications.
Execute test cases, report defects, and track their resolution.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and guidelines.
Test Planning
Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to identify test scenarios.
Collaborate with the development team to understand system functionality.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test scripts.
Defect Identification and Management
Identify, document, and communicate bugs and issues.
Work with development teams to resolve identified defects.
Re-test resolved issues to ensure proper resolution.
Collaboration and Reporting
Provide clear and concise test reports and documentation.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
Understanding of Agile development processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in testing mobile and web applications.
Knowledge of programming languages for test automation (e.g., Java, Python).
Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
