The Role
As QA Engineer – Product & Supplier Qualification, you will play a key role in ensuring that new or relocated products are successfully introduced into the supply chain with the right quality standards in place. You will actively contribute to cross-disciplinary teams during New Product Introduction (NPI) and supplier relocation projects.
In this position, you will guide the qualification of critical parts, assess design feasibility, and apply structured quality methods such as PPAP to release products and suppliers. Your work ensures that new products meet expectations for manufacturability, reliability, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in NPI and supplier relocation projects as the quality representative.
- Identify Critical to Quality (CtQ) parts and characteristics in collaboration with R&D.
- Review product designs for manufacturability, reproducibility, reliability, and sustainability.
- Create and execute Quality Release Plans (QRP) to ensure supplier readiness.
- Qualify and release parts and suppliers using the PPAP process.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma principles and tools to improve and safeguard product quality.
Your Profile
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience in NPI or supplier relocation projects, particularly in qualifying suppliers and parts.
- Proven knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
- Strong background in Lean Six Sigma tools and methods (e.g. control plans, FMEA, A3, MSA, capability studies).
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, hands-on approach, and a drive for continuous improvement.
