About the role - Quantity Surveyor | Canberra Region

We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our Canberra team as it grows and expands in the local market.

In this role, you’ll be involved in all aspects of Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy, managing both pre and post-contract duties. Join us and help shape the future of our projects while advancing your career in a collaborative and innovative environment!

Key responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing and understanding design consultants’ drawings.
  • Estimating and cost planning.
  • Inputting into value engineering.
  • Inputting into Tender analysis and assisting in producing tender reports.
  • Conducting cost checks, progress claim, and variation assessments.
  • Dealing effectively and producing post-contract cost reports.
  • Contract administrative agreement of final accounts.
  • Client-facing at all stages of projects.
  • Supporting Senior Quantity Surveyor.
About you
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and CostX or similar.
  • Completed or working towards APC for MRICS or AIQS chartered status.
  • Australian Citizenship (preferred for security clearances).
  • AGSVA Security clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong communication skills and excellent customer care.
  • Sound construction knowledge.
  • Experience across various industry sectors, especially Education, Retirement Living, and Commercial.
  • Understanding of Cost Planning stages and principles.
  • Ability to accurately quantify and cost construction elements.
  • Minimum 4 years' post-graduate experience.
  • Financial monitoring experience.
  • Flexible work approach with strong organizational skills.
