A passionate React Native engineer with precision, curiosity, and drive. A builder. A problem-solver. A collaborator. Someone who knows how to architect elegant mobile solutions, integrate deeply with native capabilities, and move fast; who also cares about clean code, seamless user experience, and wants to help people live more inspired, organized lives through technology.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

You’ll shape our core mobile experience from the ground up — with significant contribution across:

• Translate Figma designs into fluid, high-performance mobile interfaces using TypeScript, modern React Native, and the latest versions of Expo.
• Build and refine core application features, ensuring a clean, joyful, unforgettable user experience.
• Dive deep when needed: Develop and integrate custom native modules (Swift/Objective-C/Java/Kotlin) for unique iOS/Android functionalities beyond standard Expo APIs (e.g., advanced media handling like AVFoundation/MediaRecorder).
• Own the bridge between React Native and native device capabilities, enabling deep system integrations.
• Work across the stack, connecting the mobile frontend to our Supabase (PostgreSQL) backend and potentially other services.
• Collaborate closely on technical architecture, feature implementation, and establishing best practices.

Release, Process & Growth

• Manage the application release cycle, including seamless OTA (Over-The-Air) updates using EAS.
• Actively participate in our Scrum process, championing Continuous Delivery, robust testing, and maintainable code.
• Help scale the engineering team and technical practices over time.

WHO YOU ARE

• 5+ years professional experience building sophisticated mobile applications with modern React Native.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and the latest Expo development platform features (including EAS).
• Demonstrated experience developing and integrating custom native modules for both iOS (Swift/Objective-C) & Android (Java/Kotlin). You understand when and why native code is essential.
• Solid understanding of full-stack development concepts and the mobile application development lifecycle.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL (Supabase experience is beneficial).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Fast, resourceful, proactive — you build, you ship, you own it.
• Great communicator and collaborator, effective within a remote team.
• Highly organized and hands-on.
• Bonus: Experience with Firebase services, Large Language Models (LLMs), or third-party webhook integrations (e.g., Meta/WhatsApp).

What Success Looks Like (First Year):

• Month 1: Fully onboarded, familiar with our stack (React Native, Expo, TypeScript, Supabase), and shipping code across the application and API. You grasp the product vision.
• Month 3: Taking ownership of significant modules, driving features from design to release, and actively contributing within our Scrum/CD process.
• Month 12: A key technical owner for major parts of the React Native app, influencing architecture, potentially mentoring others, and ensuring scalability and maintainability.
