Duties
- Lead and manage regional sales teams to achieve and surpass sales goals through effective coaching, motivation, and strategic planning.
- Develop comprehensive territory management strategies to optimize coverage, identify new business opportunities, and expand market share.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying potential clients, generating leads through cold calling, networking, and targeted marketing campaigns.
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients via account management practices, ensuring high customer satisfaction and fostering long-term loyalty.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical sales presentations to showcase solutions tailored to client needs.
- Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track sales activities, manage customer data, analyze pipeline performance, and forecast future growth.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with B2B clients while maintaining a focus on value creation for both parties.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to develop strategies that support lead generation and brand awareness in assigned territories.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies proactively.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, territory insights, and customer feedback to senior management for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales or B2B sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a territory management environment.
- Strong management skills with experience leading sales teams or managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Excellent business development abilities including lead generation, cold calling, and direct sales techniques.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or equivalent tools for managing customer relationships and analyzing sales data.
- Demonstrated success in technical or technology sales with the ability to deliver compelling product demos and upsell solutions effectively.
- Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with outstanding customer service orientation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments including marketing and product teams.
- Experience in retail or inside sales environments is a plus but not mandatory.
