Position Overview:
The Sales Manager will lead the Southern California sales operation, managing a team of sales representatives and major customer accounts. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth, developing strategic sales plans, coaching the sales team, and ensuring top-tier customer service. This leader will serve as a key liaison between sales, manufacturing, operations, and corporate marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Execute strategic plans to grow existing business and capture new markets
- Oversee pricing strategies and respond to RFPs with profitable proposals
- Manage major accounts and coordinate cross-functional customer service
- Ensure timely delivery, product quality, and responsive customer communications
- Forecast sales and report performance with high accuracy
- Participate in cost control meetings and lead sales-related financial planning
- Enforce corporate safety standards and contribute to a safety-first culture
- Recruit, evaluate, and develop sales team talent
Requirements:
- Industry Experience:
Minimum
10 years
in B2B sales leadership,
REQUIRED
within the
corrugated packaging manufacturing
industry - Leadership:
Proven experience managing a site-level or significant operational sales function - Technical:
Strong business and financial acumen; proficient in current business software - Skills:
Excellent communication, customer service, and administrative capabilities - Talent Development:
Experience in performance management, coaching, and team building
