Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Business Analyst to support retail IT transformation initiatives. This role will be instrumental in identifying business needs, analyzing processes, and delivering data-driven insights to optimize retail operations and technology implementations. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail environments and a strong understanding of IT systems, inventory management, and digital commerce.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across retail, supply chain, and IT to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze current retail workflows, replenishment models, and inventory systems to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Support transformation initiatives including SKU rationalization, partner onboarding, and digital capability launches.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for development and engineering teams.
- Manage communications with internal and external teams regarding inbound shipments, purchase orders, and inventory status. ( Review)
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Develop training materials and support user onboarding for new systems and processes.
- Monitor and report on system performance, in-stock percentages, and operational KPIs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in retail or consumer-facing industries.
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Exposure to digital commerce platforms and omnichannel retail strategies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
- Experience with retail inventory systems, order management, and replenishment processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation range for position is $ 100,000 – 125,000 DOE.
