In addition to enterprise consulting, our engineering team is working on two enterprise‑grade cutting‑edge AI platforms which provides our engineers with immense learning opportunities.
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team — someone who can design scalable architectures, develop efficient backend systems, and ensure seamless integration across our product ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable and secure backend architecture for enterprise‑grade applications.
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and other modern backend languages.
- Collaborate with front‑end and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and performance.
- Manage and optimize API development, integration, and lifecycle management.
- Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Participate in system architecture discussions, contributing technical insights and leadership.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with proper documentation.
- Integrate third‑party systems, databases, and cloud services effectively.
- Oversee version control, branching strategies, and deployment processes using Git based SCM.
- Strong communication.
- Ability to liaise with offshore and junior team members.
- Ability to work closely with business and BA/Scrum Master/Extended Agile team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, with at least 2 years in a senior or architectural role.
- Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar frameworks).
- Solid understanding of software architecture design patterns, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient with API management, authentication, and integration best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with Git, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and cloud‑native tools.
- Experience with other backend languages (Node.js, Go, or Java).
- Exposure to serverless architectures and API gateways.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Candidate must have full working rights in Australia. This is 2 days per week onsite role.
