Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Bengaluru
We’re looking for a senior-level electrical engineer with a strong background in control systems, drive selection, and safety compliance for semiconductor capital equipment. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, the ability to handle B&R I/O systems (and possibly Siemens PLCs), and a solid foundation in risk assessment and machine safety.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the design, selection, and sizing of motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment.
- Work with industrial I/O systems; familiarity with B&R PLCs is an advantage.
- Contribute to risk assessments per SEMI S14, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL standards.
- Design AC/DC power distribution systems compliant with NFPA 79, SEMI S22, and relevant UL standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to capture and clarify technical requirements, load/motion integration for new and existing projects.
- Take ownership of assigned projects, and when required, lead a team of engineers
- Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical.
- Manage and maintain product data in PLM systems.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems.
- Support FAT execution, customer acceptance, and TUV or third-party safety audits.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
- Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
- Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for drives, control circuits, and industrial I/O.
- Strong understanding of SEMI Standards, NFPA, and UL compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic PLC programming knowledge: experience with B&R and Siemens PLCs is an added advantage.
- Field commissioning and customer support experience.
