Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Engineer – Quality Management System based in Tamil Nadu, India. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for oversee and enhances the implementation of quality standards and processes, working to ensure products and processes conform to regulatory and customer requirements. This role manages daily quality control operations, leads a team, coordinates cross-functional improvement initiatives, and assures compliance with recognized standards.
Qualifications
- B.E in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or equivalent engineering
- More than 7 years of experience in Quality Management.
- Strong Knowledge on PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC & FMEA
- Sound Machining knowledge which includes Tools, Machines, Fixtures & Process
- Sound Casting knowledge which included Dies, Machines & Process.
- Expertise in Problem Solving Techniques like 8D, QC Story & Six Sigma.
- Expertise in Systems & Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2015 & IATF16949:2016
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible to Monitor the KPI Performance of all CAL Units on regular Basis and drive continual improvements across units
- Responsible for Horizontal Deployment of Continual Improvement projects across the applicable Units to be done
- Chronic Issues to be eliminated by taking special projects on particular plants by using problem solving tools like Six Sigma or Shainin Tools
- Process Capability Improvement to be driven across the satellite plants
- Address new customer requirement and implement in the plants with adherence of given timeline
- Support NPD and drive a first time right and every time right product
- Responsible to support for IT Enablement Projects in order for Data integration across plants which will be inline to Industry 4.0 Requirement
- Responsible for conducting QRM & MRM along with Plant Teams and Top Management
- Responsible to Conduct Audits for Product, Process & System in all Divisions
- Co-ordinate the ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 Activities and Audits
- Responsible to maintain and control the Past Trouble data base on a corporate level which consists data of all Divisions
- To Maintain and control the lessons learnt data base and share it to all applicable units
- Responsible to Drive customer score card improvement activities from Corporate level
- Responsible to ensure all the system adherence in the shop floor to meet customer requirements
