Role Overview:
As a Senior Designer at SAMATVA, you will lead the design process from concept to production, translating brand vision into cohesive, market-ready collections. You will collaborate closely with our creative, production, and merchandising teams to ensure designs are innovative, on-trend, and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of seasonal collections, from concept development to final samples.
- Research and interpret fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and textures to inform design direction.
- Develop detailed tech packs, sketches, and material boards for production teams.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and fostering creativity.
- Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure alignment of designs with brand strategy and customer expectations.
- Attend fittings, provide constructive feedback, and ensure quality and fit standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in fashion design, preferably in apparel or streetwear/lifestyle brands.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design expertise, creativity, and trend awareness.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and design software; experience with CAD systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and production processes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
