ABOUT THE ROLE

Weatherford is seeking a Senior Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor based in Malaga, Perth. This role will oversee safety operations across Australia, New Zealand, and PNG, reporting to the Regional Health and Safety Manager and Area Director. The primary focus of this role is ensuring safety processes deliver consistent positive outcomes while supporting Weatherford's safety culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Manage compliance with Weatherford's safety management system.
  • Oversee hazardous material safety (radiation, explosives, and chemicals).
  • Contribute to safety tenders and audits.
  • Monitor and improve safety procedures and risk assessments.
  • Participate in incident investigations and emergency response.
  • Conduct facility inspections and field audits.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous substances.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health Safety.
  • 3-7 years' experience in the HSE sector.
  • Oil and gas industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of Australian HSE legislation.
  • Excellent risk management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Advantageous:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical discipline.
  • Experience with incident investigation.
