At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), we're pushing the boundaries of how enterprise software gets built. Our AI Applications org is creating the next generation of intelligent, agentic systems—platforms where users across functions interact with AI agents for reasoning, automation, and insight.
As Senior Director of Engineering (M5), you will lead and grow multiple engineering teams across our Agentic AI Applications domain (e.g., Oracle Chat). You will define architectural vision, set strategic direction, and ensure we deliver high-impact, reliable systems at scale. You will partner with product, research, and operational leaders to bring new AI capabilities into enterprise workflows.
You will have your fingerprints on the architecture while elevating the organization in technical excellence, operational rigor, and cross-team alignment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with substantial time in leadership roles.
- Proven track record managing multiple engineering teams and delivering enterprise-scale systems.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, system reliability, operational excellence, and performance engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to influence architecture and strategy across functions and organizations.
- Experience mentoring and developing managers and engineering leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience leading AI product or platform organizations.
- Familiarity with LLM and agent frameworks (e.g. (e.g. orchestrating LLMs, multi-agent systems, agentic orchestration, retrieval, memory infrastructures).
- Publication, open-source contributions, or recognized technical leadership in the AI/ML community.
