Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable
Location: Harvey Hanna & Associates, Inc.
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 annually (based on experience)
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable to join our accounting team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate tenant accounts, managing receivables, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations within a fast-paced real estate and property management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable, including recording tenant receipts, reconciling tenant ledgers, and preparing tenant billbacks and monthly statements.
- Respond to tenant billing inquiries and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Provide ACH deposit information to tenants and record intercompany receivables and payments.
- Support daily cash management, including bank fraud protection modules, check issue uploads, and monthly bank statement downloads.
- Assist with maintaining and renewing business licenses and annual franchise tax fees.
- Prepare monthly donation letters for the company's charitable foundation.
- Record monthly loan transactions and assist with bank reconciliations.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office — especially Excel.
- Experience with M3, Sage CRE, QuickBooks, or Yardi preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; able to handle multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills when working with colleagues, clients, and tenants.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to confidentiality.
Preferred Background
Experience in hospitality or property management is highly desirable.
