Join a dynamic, third-generation family business as our Transport Compliance Administrator. Reporting to our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting national safety, compliance, and accreditation requirements across our operations.
This is a hands-on administrative role supporting transport safety, contractor management, audits, driver compliance, and emergency response planning. You’ll assist with the management of safety systems and help maintain standards across HVNL, NHVAS, WAHVA, HACCP, and Biosecurity.
The Role- Support compliance with HVNL, NHVAS, WAHVA, and customer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate and participate in audits, training, and contractor compliance.
- Manage safety and compliance systems (e.g., Rapid Global, NHVR Portal).
- Assist in maintaining the Transport Emergency Response Plan (TERP).
- Contribute to SOPs, risk assessments, and other safety documentation.
- Support internal reporting and presentations for safety and compliance performance.
- Promote a strong, proactive safety culture.
- Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and transport regulations.
- Administration experience in the transport/logistics industry (desirable).
- Qualifications in Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility (desirable).
- Experience developing operational documents such as SOPs and risk assessments.
- Clear, professional communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and stay solutions focused.
- A collaborative team player with a mature, proactive approach.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and respect for confidentiality.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills using Microsoft Office suite.
