Radiology – MRI Technologist (WA) Note: Medical Solutions auto-deducts the 1.75% WA tax—this amount can be re-added. Licensure & Certification Requirements ARRT certification required (Radiologic Technologist). Washington State Radiologic Technologist License required unless the candidate holds ARRT (MR) via the primary pathway. ARRT (MR) certification preferred. ARMRIT alone does not meet requirements unless the technologist also obtains ARRT (MR). Candidates certified in ARRT (R) or ARRT (CT) must have or obtain a WA state license. BLS for Healthcare Providers required. N95 fit test required. MRI Certification Pay Incentive available. Department Details Department: Radiology – MRI Scanners: Main Hospital: GE 1.5T & GE 3T Outpatient Clinics: Philips & Hitachi systems (3 total) Float: Based on operational needs EMR/PACS: EPIC + Sectra PACS Typical Studies & Duties Brain, Neck, Spine Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis Breast & Cardiac MRI Prostate MSK Imaging patients with implanted devices (research required before scanning) Preferred Experience: Cardiac MRI, Breast MRI, Breast biopsy MRI (not required) Daily Volume: Approx. 28 scans per day Additional Information Radiologist In-House: Yes IV Starts: Required Support Staff: Radiology Aides assist MRI technologists Manager: Kenneth Crossland Scheduling Shifts: Vary—refer to assignment notes Weekends: Not required (volunteer option available) Holidays: Participate in holiday rotation Call/Standby: Required per rotation Dress Code Personal scrubs; hospital scrubs only for OR staff Orientation Full department-specific orientation provided
