Job Descritpion of VMWare Admin
8-10 Years Relevant Experience
We are looking for a highly skilled VMware Administrator with strong expertise in virtualization technologies and Windows Server environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing our virtual infrastructure while collaborating across teams to ensure system stability, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of physical and virtual servers.
- Administer and manage Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere environments (ESXi 7.0 and later).
- Handle Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Develop and execute PowerShell scripts for automation and process optimization.
- Troubleshoot ESXi issues related to storage, network, and performance.
- Manage and configure High Availability (HA), DRS, vMotion, Distributed Switches, Storage Migration, Cross vCenter Migration, and Upgrades.
- Work within ITIL processes, particularly incident, change, and service level management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute scheduled activities.
- Provide 24×7 operational support on a rotational basis.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in VMware vSphere Administration and ESXi troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of virtualization concepts and capacity planning.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of networking and storage concepts in virtual environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong decision-making and leadership abilities, capable of working independently.
- High attention to detail with a results-driven approach.
- Good communication and conflict management skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve.
