Ai Backend Engineer

Python-focused AI Backend Engineer with strong experience building production-grade FastAPI services and AI agent workflows

Must Have:

Backend Engineering

• 2–3+ years of Python experience building production-grade services
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI, including:
• Async execution patterns
• API design & error handling
• Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD, especially within Azure DevOps

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Hands-on experience building end-to-end RAG systems
• Experience with:
• Document ingestion & parsing
• Chunking strategies
• Embedding generation & indexing

AI Agents & Frameworks

• Expertise in at least one AI framework such as:
• LangChain
• Microsoft Agent Framework
• Semantic Kernel
• Google ADK

Data & Storage

• Strong SQL skills, preferably Microsoft SQL ServerQuery writing, validation, optimization
• Data ingestion
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, preferably Azure Cosmos DB

Ways of Working

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working in agile, globally distributed teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with Copilot Studio, including agent creation and publishing
• Exposure to Microsoft Agent Framework hosting and backend integration patterns
