Mechanical Design Engineer – Airframe / UAV Structures

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in airframe and UAV structural design to join our engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting lightweight aerospace structures from concept through production, with a strong understanding of structural integrity, materials, and manufacturing methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop airframe and UAV structural components and assemblies
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
• Perform structural analysis and support testing activities
• Work closely with manufacturing, systems, and flight teams
• Support prototype build, integration, and design iteration

Required Experience & Skills:

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience with airframe and/or UAV structures
• Strong CAD skills (e.g. CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, or similar)
• Knowledge of aerospace materials (composites, aluminium, titanium, etc.)
• Understanding of structural analysis and design for manufacture

Desirable:

• Experience with composite structures
• UAV certification or flight-test support experience
• FEA experience
