Job Description
Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a “Mechanical Engineer” with expertise in creating/updating, part/assembly drawings along with CAD models.
The candidate will be part of a team assisting in the delivery of efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while also contributing to the development of Indian semiconductor ecosystem.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Working in the multi-disciplinary team comprising of electrical and mechanical engineers.
• Work on Mechanical design projects(including Robotics design projects)
• Work on creating/updating components specification sheets, part/assembly drawings and CAD models.
• Prepare presentation and present in design reviews for approvals.
• Perform FMEA and provide mitigation strategies to eliminate risks.
• Identify and implement best practices to continuously improve efficiency in Engineering/PLM/CAD processes.
• Monitor and track progress of different projects; publish weekly report to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical with experience of 3-6 years.
• Master’s degree will be preferred.
Mandatory Skills:
• Proficient in NX.
• Good knowledge of sheet metals, Machined and plastic parts.
• Good understanding of various manufacturing processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent command of Microsoft tools- Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Able to work with limited supervision and in an agile environment.
•Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.
Good to have:
• Experience with Robotics application/system
• Basic understanding of GD&T & Tolerance stack up.
• Work on obsolescence activities and electromechanical assemblies.
• Knowledge of FEA using Ansys, or similar software is a benefit.
• Understanding of FMEA.
• Concept design skills - Should understand concepts while working on new designs and know how to do concepts in new designs.
• Hands-on experience in Creo.
