Job Description
We are looking for a financial leader who can manage the company’s accounts, compliance, cash flows, and strategic financial planning. The role requires a strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation, regulatory compliance, and the ability to support management with financial insights and decision-making.
The position will operate both at an operational level (day-to-day accounting) and a strategic level (financial control, planning, and governance).
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including:
- General ledger
- Accounts payable & receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Fixed assets accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Finalize accounts in coordination with statutory and internal auditors
- Maintain books in compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and applicable Accounting Standards (Ind AS / AS)
2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing and compliance of:
- GST (returns, reconciliations, audits)
- Income tax (TDS, advance tax, returns)
- PF, ESIC, Professional Tax (if applicable)
- Coordinate with tax consultants and respond to notices, assessments, and audits
- Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure company compliance
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Prepare and monitor cash flow statements and forecasts
- Optimize working capital, inventory financing, and receivables management
- Manage banking relationships, limits, and documentation
- Oversee fund utilization and ensure financial discipline
4. Budgeting, MIS & Financial Analysis
- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Develop and present MIS reports for management and board review
- Analyze variances, profitability, cost controls, and business performance
- Provide actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions
5.Skills & Competencies

- Hands-on approach with ability to work independently
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / ERP systems) and Excel
6. Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities (CFO-level)
- Act as a financial advisor to promoters and senior management
- Support business expansion, capital allocation, and investment decisions
- Evaluate new projects, acquisitions, or funding opportunities
- Liaise with bankers, investors, auditors, legal advisors, and consultants
- Participate in board meetings and strategic planning sessions
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA Finance
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience in a Private Limited Company
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting, taxation, and compliance
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing / trading / retail environments
- Exposure to multi-entity or group structures
- Experience handling audits, banks, and regulatory authorities
