Urgent requirement of Senior UX/UI Designer - Perm/Contract - Melbourne

Skills and Experience :

• Hands-on experience designing for Native and Hybrid Apps
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX work for both apps and web platforms

• Expertise in leading the end-to-end design process for mobile products, from initial concept and user research to final implementation
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, or similar)
• In-depth understanding of mobile app UI design principles and best practices
• Strong knowledge of UX and Human-Centered Design methodologies, focusing on optimizing customer experience
• Solid understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
• Experience collaborating with Engineers to ensure high-quality implementation of design
• Familiarity with mobile analytics and A/B testing methodologies
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Time management and organizational skills, capable of working autonomously and in teams
• Experience with Lean/Agile delivery methodologies and frameworks
• Experience conducting user research and translating insights into design solutions
• Excellence in visual design, including typography, composition, and interaction design skills
• Experience working with design systems and component libraries
• Proven experience in leading design sprints and facilitating workshops

• Good interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Skilled in wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design with clear visual communication
• Ability to quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes

• Partner with Product Managers to define product strategy and roadmap based on user needs and business objectives
• Ability to clarify requirements and build strong stakeholder partnerships
• Effective collaboration, showing consideration, respect, and encouragement for team contributions
• Strong problem-solving skills, balancing user needs with technical constraints
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior designers

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related field focusing on user experience, interaction, or visual design
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a UI/UX Designer, with at least 3 years in mobile applications
• Related tertiary qualifications (Information Systems or Computer Science) are highly desirable
• Retail sector experience preferred

Duration: Permanent / 6 Months with possible extension
