Overview of Job Function:
Technical Consultant is responsible for setting and maintaining system integrations and components, including but not limited to: application to application integrations, services (WS), internal and external API, file transfer (SFTP).
The Systems Integration Technical Consultant is responsible for participating in requirements analysis and assessment, design, setting, internal testing, UAT, and the documentation of the integration project (IDD).
Primary responsibilities will also include troubleshooting existing integrations and providing technical support to the application development team.
Technical Consultant is part of the Professional Services team and works in collaboration with IT.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Set and know services used in application integrations.
- Propose a design integration solution and document the design in accordance with best practices.
- Close collaboration with JAGGAER Project Managers and Lead Solution Consultant
- Write WS request, use FTP solution (CSV file) to retrieve appropriate data as derived from requirements.
- Build reports and/or data extracts to support business analysis.
- Support development on resolving system defects, acting as a liaison and developing solutions.
- Coordinate directly with business users and business analysts to best understand and analyze business specifications.
- Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot and resolve integration errors.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 4+ years of business experience with 2+ years of demonstrated experience in application implementations /providing consulting services in a client environment.
- 1-3 years eProcurement, Supply Chain or Contract Lifecycle Management software application experience is preferred.
- Experience implementing software-as-a-service (SaaS) software solutions or ERPs with systems integration preferred.
- Experience using APIs (REST, SOAP) and API clients (Postman, SoapUI).
- An understanding of integration patterns.
- An ability to document integrations using appropriate notation or modelling languages (e.g., UML)
- Strong project management, interpersonal, negotiation, communication, presentation, documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to learn quickly, make strong individual contributions and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment.
- Ability to act independently, take initiative and drive tasks and issues to resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Will work extensively over the phone and in-person with clients and suppliers. Hands-on experience with project management methodologies; Agile is preferred.
- Business automation and workflow process development desirable.
- Proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel and Word as well as other typical business productivity tools.
- Is confident, articulate, succinct, professional, and has sound judgement and critical thinking skills.
- Will be required to travel domestically and internationally. Travel ranges from 10-30%.
