Job Description
Position Summary
SMIL is seeking a full‑time overnight radiologist to join our ER section of 18 members, including 6 FTE of overnight coverage. This remote position offers a 7‑on/14‑off schedule with 10 pm–7 am (AZ Time) and the opportunity to moonlight during off weeks. You will interpret general emergency, urgent care, and inpatient imaging studies from multiple modalities (CT, X‑ray, US) for the HonorHealth network, servicing 6 hospitals (3 level 1 trauma).
We do not perform MRI, IR or nuclear studies unless desired.
- 7‑on/14‑off schedule (10 pm–7 am AZ Time)
- Locally‑managed AI‑enabled IT platform with 24x7 support and a dedicated communications team including Radiologist Support Coordinators (RSCs)
- Opportunity to moonlight internally during off weeks for outpatient and inpatient exams
- 100% remote
- PowerScribe, InteleRad, and Epic support an efficient, connected workflow across reporting, imaging, and clinical systems

Local Practice Overview
Southwest Medical Imaging (SMIL) is a 70+ highly subspecialized radiology practice based in Scottsdale, AZ. We own and operate nearly 20 outpatient imaging centers and serve a health‑care network of 6 hospitals. SMIL values physician leadership, teamwork, and clinical quality and provides dedicated IT and communications support to our physicians.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience

- Neuroradiology experience is a plus.

Compensation
The salary range is $600,000–$700,000, with final determination based on factors such as education, experience, and location. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes health & wellness coverage, 401(k), family planning, and telehealth benefits.
