We are seeking an Associate Manager to join our Accelerator Program Team. The Eupnea Accelerator Program is a 8-week program that supports highly-innovative global startups that plan to enter the UK market from foreign markets e.g. India, US, UAE, Europe and Africa and most industries within these markets.
The role has particular focus on prospecting and engagement with the leadership teams of suitable startups to promote effectively our Accelerator within the startup business community across the globe. You will work closely with the Accelerator Program Manager and the Sales Team within the business to identify the best global startups that we can have in our program with aim each cohort of startups we select to bring together an outstanding mix of deep innovation, significant traction of existing successes and highly ambitious growth prospect. We aim to accelerate at least 60 startups each year across the most innovative sectors.
Our startup selection process includes extensive research, a multi-phased registration process, introductory leader calls, startup pitch waves, thorough assessments/reviews and a final onboarding process. You will work constantly with aspiring and established Founders and other senior decision makers of global startups from various major markets and industries.
Primary Role Responsibilities
• Drive client-facing activity by scheduling and conducting meetings and securing registrations with suitable startup businesses in the market via selected channels e.g. email, messaging or telephone
• Promote our Accelerator Program in various major markets to startups and enrol qualified participants
• Develop a thorough understanding of the key characteristics and needs of global startups and of the Accelerator program, ensuring our engagements encompass the full breadth of the support we offer for accelerating startups
• Work directly with the Founder, our Accelerator Program Manager, Sales team, IT team and other parts of the business to support effectively our range of business development activities and best practice (including conducting market research and attending relevant industry events) and development of the prospecting, sales and account management capability
• Ensure client feedback (and learnings from) are shared and acted upon to help leverage prospecting capability and increase opportunity, conversion and client satisfaction. Identify winning behaviours based on client feedback and best practice principles and increase effort/activity on the right opportunities
• Help develop enablement content and campaigns to drive opportunities for the program
• Join relevant industry events, forums, panel discussions, talks and roundtables on behalf of Eupnea to utilise business networking opportunities and raise the profile of the Accelerator and our firm
• Accurately record all business development activity (conversations and opportunities) and KPI measurement in our systems
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience Required
• Strong academic background. A Bachelor degree is essential. A MBA or MSc in a quantitative field will be considered a plus
• 3+ years of extensive experience in supporting or managing startup accelerator programs, where sourcing cohorts was the main responsibility
• Previous work experience gained from other Startup Incubators, Accelerators or Scale Programs, for example, Y Combinator, TechStars, Startupbootcamp or Seedcamp, will be advantageous
• Well-connected within the global startup ecosystem with a good network of industry contacts
• Strong project management skills with proven experience in project resource allocation, performance tracking and risk, budget and time management
• Proficiency in CRM, Sales and Accelerator software
• Excellent knowledge of market analysis and sales forecasting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with previous experience working directly with Startup Founders and other C-Suite professionals in the industry
• Excellent time management of work and organisational skills with strong ability to work independently and under pressure and respond effectively on own initiative to changing situations and priorities generating expected or desirable outcomes
• Be able to work effectively in an entrepreneurial start-up environment, collaborate with others in different business settings & manage multiple stakeholders
