Account Manager - Accounting Practice

Morgan McKinley has partnered with an expanding industry leader to hire an Account Manager and a Senior Account Manager. This is a great opportunity for a senior accounting professional looking to progress their career within a successful and innovative business.

The Role:

• Management Accounts: Preparation and review with a focus on investigating gross margin variances and creating action plans to improve margins and reduce costs.
• Internal Controls: Evaluating and implementing effective financial controls.
• Operations: Managing working capital and providing full financial control services to a portfolio of clients.
• Team Management: Responsible for supervising and managing a small team.

Experience Required:

• Experience: Qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE, or an experienced bookkeeper with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Technical Skills: You should be comfortable in a hands‑on role and have proven experience preparing full sets of accounts.
• Client Facing: Comfortable dealing directly with clients, presenting financial analysis, and suggesting operational improvements.
• Sector Knowledge: An understanding of the retail sector is a plus, but not essential.
• Availability: Ideally available to start immediately (or on short notice).

Qualifications:

• Holds a relevant third‑level degree.
• Recognised professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
• Hybrid Working: Available after an initial on‑site training period.
