Overview Contract Accountant (4-Month Engagement) Location: REMOTE We are partnering with a growing organization in the Seattle area to identify a Contract Accountant for a 4-month engagement. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who can step in quickly, take ownership of core accounting functions, and keep operations running smoothly during a critical period. Key Responsibilities Process and manage payroll Support month-end close activities, including: Fixed assets Prepaid expenses Expense reports Commissions Accruals Benefits allocations General ledger reconciliations and related tasks Monitor sales tax and payroll tax processes (managed by third-party providers, but require oversight and follow-up) Assist with ongoing accounting operations and ensure continuity during leave coverage Timeline Start: ASAP (training period before leave begins) Duration: Approximately 4 months total ~4 weeks overlap for training ~12 weeks independent coverage Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience Strong experience with month-end close and reconciliations Payroll experience required Comfortable working with third-party vendors (payroll, tax) Detail-oriented and able to operate independently Able to ramp quickly in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
