Accountant

Description: Accountant Location: Milwaukee, WI Employment Type: 1st shift, possible Hybrid Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules * Assist with month-end and year-end close related to cost accounting * Prepare detailed financial and operational reports for management * Support budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor variances * Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies * Analyze and monitor production, labor, material, and overhead costs * Analyze purchase price variances (PPV) and investigate root causes * Prepare and maintain standard costs and conduct variance analysis * Identify cost trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for savings * Support internal and external audits as needed * Support development and tracking Requirements: Skills Required * Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations * Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles * Ability to analyze and explain balance sheet and income statement activity * Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and identify root causes * Ability to clearly communicate accounting and financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders * Strong collaboration skills across accounting, operations, purchasing, and leadership Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * 2-5 years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience preferred Compensation details: 66000-85000 Yearly Salary PI232b986da1b7-29400-39782372
