We’re growing our Finance team in the UK & Europe and are looking to appoint an Accounting & Accounts Payable Manager to play a key role in supporting our project-led business.
This is an opportunity to step into a leadership position where you’ll take ownership of both financial accounting and Accounts Payable, working closely with our project and commercial teams to ensure strong financial control across a diverse portfolio.
The Role
As Accounting & AP Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and ensuring supplier costs are effectively managed across multiple live projects.
You’ll partner with stakeholders across the business, giving you real visibility and influence over how projects are delivered from a financial perspective.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading month-end and year-end close processes
- Overseeing project cost accounting, including subcontractor and supplier spend
- Managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable function (invoice processing, approvals, payments, reconciliations)
- Ensuring accurate cost allocation across projects and cost centres
- Maintaining strong financial controls, audit trails, and balance sheet integrity
- Supporting statutory reporting and acting as a key contact for audits
- Partnering with Project Managers and Commercial teams to support cost control and project performance
- Leading and developing the AP and accounting team
- Driving process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong experience across financial accounting and Accounts Payable
- Background in a project-based environment (construction, infrastructure, consultancy or similar)
- Experience managing high-volume AP and project costing
- Understanding of financial controls and reporting standards (US GAAP advantageous)
- Strong ERP systems and Excel skills
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to build strong relationships across the business
