Accounting Manager Accounts Payable A growing organization is seeking an Accounting Manager Accounts Payable to lead a small AP team while remaining hands-on in daily operations. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced AP leader who enjoys balancing team management, process oversight, and transactional accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This role offers visibility to senior finance leadership and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements within a complex accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities Manage and mentor a remote Accounts Payable team of 3 Oversee day-to-day AP operations, including invoice processing and vendor payments Review and perform AP reconciliations to the General Ledger Oversee check runs and maintain accurate payment activity Reconcile monthly corporate credit card activity Manage travel and expense reporting processes Maintain strong vendor relationships and communication Support process improvement initiatives and internal controls Partner with finance leadership on cash discussions and other accounting-related matters Work across multiple accounting/ERP systems in support of AP operations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related Business field preferred 68+ years of experience managing accounting or accounts payable staff Strong background in full-cycle Accounts Payable operations Experience with AP reconciliations to the General Ledger Advanced Excel skills Strong communication skills, especially with vendors and internal stakeholders Prior experience in a government contracting environment strongly preferred Additional Details Hybrid schedule with 24 onsite days per week Comprehensive benefits package offered Replacement hire with strong visibility and long-term opportunity Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
