As our company continues to strengthen its foundation and expand market reach, we’re seeking a strategic, hands-on accounting professional to work closely with our executive team in supporting operational excellence and financial precision. Role Overview The Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager will play a key role in managing the company’s accounting operations and driving financial accuracy while partnering closely with both the Controller and CEO.
This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic business environment and enjoys building robust financial systems to support organizational growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Maintain and improve financial processes, internal controls, and reporting standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Collaborate with the CEO and Controller on cash flow management, business planning, and financial strategy. Coordinate audits, tax filings, and compliance with external accountants and regulatory agencies.
Support ERP/accounting software improvements and drive reporting efficiency. Develop key financial metrics and dashboards that support strategic decision-making. Mentor junior accounting staff and foster collaboration across departments including operations, sales, and project management.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; minimum 3 years in a senior or leadership role. Experience in a growing company environment, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or water/utility sectors. Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with both the Controller and executive leadership. High integrity, analytical thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
