We are seeking a hands-on Aerospace Engineer to support rotor blade overhaul and repair operations while also contributing to the design and manufacture of rotor blade balance fixtures and related tooling. This role is ideal for a jack-of-all-trades engineer who enjoys working across documentation, repair engineering, mechanical design, and continuous improvement in a regulated aerospace environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in repair disposition, technical and certification documentation, and mechanical design, while collaborating closely with production, quality, and leadership. A strong willingness to learn and adapt is essential. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Repair Support
Evaluate rotor blade damage and assist in developing repair dispositions in accordance with approved data, engineering judgment, and regulatory requirements Support overhaul and repair processes, including material selection, structural considerations, and process improvements Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances
Mechanical Design & Development Design and modify rotor blade balance fixtures, tooling, and support equipment Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks
Support prototype builds, testing, and iterative design improvements Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable Documentation & Certification
Author and maintain engineering reports, repair justifications, technical instructions, and certification documentation Support FAA/EASA compliance activities, audits, and internal reviews Maintain configuration control and document revisions
Cross-Functional & Organizational Support Coordinate with quality, production, and management to ensure engineering intent is met Assist with project tracking, task prioritization, and documentation organization
Help standardize templates, procedures, and engineering workflows Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and 3-5 years’ work experience preferred.
Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, organized, and compliant documentation Solid understanding of mechanical systems and structural concepts Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness and ability to learn new processes, regulations, and systems Comfortable working in a regulated aerospace environment Preferred / Plus Qualifications
Experience with SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings) Experience in rotorcraft, rotor blades, or composite/metallic aircraft structures Familiarity with FAA regulations (Part 145, DER data, repair station operations)
Experience with tooling, fixtures, or production support engineering Exposure to balance systems, vibration, or dynamic components Hands-on shop or manufacturing experience
Prior experience in repair engineering or MRO environments Technical Competencies Mechanical design & drafting
