Agile Program Manager & Scrum Master

Overview

Must be Primarily an Agile Program Manager with additional qualification as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Not looking for pure Scrum Masters or Agile Coaches.

We are looking for an Agile Technical Program Manager with Scrum Master experience in SaaS and/or Platform Engineering space. This is a fully remote role and the candidate must be currently living in California or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate the planning and execution of infrastructure programs across Platform Engineering.
• Ensure cross-team coordination for dependencies, timelines, and deliverables across infrastructure engineering teams.
• Proactively identify and resolve risks, blockers, and communication gaps; surface critical issues and drive alignment with engineering, TPMs, and PMs.
• Provide clear and consistent program status updates to partnering TPMs, PMs, and engineering leadership, focusing on delivery predictability, risks, and key milestones.
• Enable value flow visibility using delivery metrics (e.g., carryover, WIP, forecast accuracy); partner with engineering to drive continuous improvement.
• Facilitate or support agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and quarterly planning to improve delivery health and scope alignment.
• Maintain strong working relationships with engineering leads, TPMs, and operational partners to ensure consistent delivery and platform health.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Agile Program Management along with experience as Scrum Master in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation environments.
• Proven experience managing complex technical programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders in a SaaS or platform context.
• Technical expertise with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes), infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform), and CI/CD processes.
• Experience leading programs involving scalability, performance tuning, infrastructure modernization, or cloud expansion.
• Strong cross-functional communication, risk escalation, and delivery alignment in agile environments.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, delivery dashboards, and metrics-driven visibility.
• Delivery of high-priority infrastructure programs on schedule with clear stakeholder alignment.
• Improved predictability and reduced risk across platform infrastructure execution.
• Increased visibility into value flow, enabling better planning, prioritization, and team alignment.

Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud region expansion, observability, autoscaling, or network failover automation.
• Ability to analyze and interpret delivery metrics to guide teams toward more predictable and mature execution.

Contract details

• Contract duration: 10+ months with potential for longer-term extensions
• Pay rate: $58/hr on W2
• Location: Remote; must be located in California or Chicago, IL
