About the Role
The Alumni Programs Officer provides coordination and operational support for alumni programs and engagement initiatives that strengthen UTS’s relationship with its alumni community. Working within the Alumni Engagement team, this role supports the delivery of alumni events, communications and volunteer programs that contribute to a vibrant, connected alumni network locally, nationally and globally.
Role responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of alumni events and engagement programs.
- Support alumni communications, invitations, registrations and post‑event follow up.
- Assist with stewardship, engagement and recognition activities for alumni volunteers and participants.
- Maintain accurate alumni records and engagement data in CRM systems.
- Respond to alumni enquiries and provide professional, timely support.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support alumni activities.
- Contribute to reporting, process improvement and cross‑team project support.
About You
Skills, Attributes and Knowledge
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, particularly in event coordination and data management.
- Customer‑focused approach with a commitment to positive alumni experiences.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems.
- Knowledge of alumni engagement, events coordination and digital communications.
- Awareness of privacy, data governance and compliance requirements.
Experience
- Experience supporting events, programmes or engagement initiatives in a university, not‑for‑profit or externally focused environment.
- Experience coordinating logistics, communications or stakeholder liaison.
- Experience preparing written materials such as reports, briefings or promotional content.
- Experience using CRM systems or databases to manage records and engagement data.
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience.
Benefits
Base Salary Range: $83,906 – $95,989 (HEW5) plus 17% superannuation (pension).
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
