Asd Pathway Clinician

CAMHS Professionals is recruiting experienced clinicians to join an established, fully remote ASD Assessment Pathway with a leading private provider. This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to high-quality autism assessments for adult patients. Clinicians are paired each day with a colleague from a different professional background to jointly assess patients using the ADI-R, ensuring a robust and comprehensive diagnostic process.

How the Pathway Works

Each clinician is paired with a colleague from a different discipline (e.g. a Nurse is paired with an SLT, OT, or Psychologist). Each pair sees two patients per day, with each clinician leading on one patient’s ADI-R assessment. Feedback is provided to the patient on the same day, and a 20-minute follow-up call is conducted by the lead clinician 12 weeks after the initial assessment.

Typical Day Structure

• 09:00 – 09:30 Reading time for patients being seen that day
• 09:30 – 11:00 First patient appointment (1.5 hrs)
• 11:00 – 12:00 Write report
• 12:00 – 12:30 Lunch break
• 12:30 – 14:00 Second patient appointment (1.5 hrs)
• 14:00 – 15:00 Write report
• 15:00 – 16:00 MDT for both patients
• 16:00 – 16:30 Feedback outcome to patient
• 16:30 - 17:00 Lead clinician finalises combined report (including MDT & outcome)

Requirements

• Speech & Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist
• HCPC Registered
• ADI-R qualification and valid certificate
• Minimum 1 year’s experience completing ADI-R assessments
• Experience working with adult patients
• Full-day availability (09:00 – 17:00)
• 4-week notice period
• Ability to work fully remotely

Engagement Model

Direct Engagement

Clinicians engage directly with the client. Invoices are submitted once the report has been finalised and accepted by the patient (this typically takes around 2 weeks). Payment is made 30 days after invoice submission, with the option for weekly payment cycles where invoices are submitted weekly.
