Based near Chelmsford, this role sits within a small, collaborative team and offers excellent scope for development within a fast-paced environment.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer / Merchandising Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the buying and merchandising function. This is a varied role that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Buyer with day-to-day activitiesPrepare weekly reports and management informationCoordinate and manage supplier deliveries across departmentsWork closely with the Merchandiser to develop promotional activityManage new, repeat, and continuity orders using stock forecastsAssist in planning and managing product categories alongside the BuyerMonitor competitor activity and market trends, recommending opportunities to drive salesMaintain product data, including system set-up across e-commerce and internal platformsContribute to the development and improvement of processes and systemsProvide general administrative support to the Buying departmentAbout YouPrevious experience in a buying or merchandising support role is essentialHighly organised with strong attention to detailAble to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesStrong IT skills and confidence working with systemsProactive, positive, and able to work both independently and as part of a teamThrives in a busy, fast-paced environmentWorking HoursMonday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:30pmAdditional InformationPermanent, full-time positionBonus scheme availableOffice-based roleAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
