Position: Assistant Fashion Designer

At Studio Virupa, we value thoughtful design, fine craftsmanship, and smooth production flow. We are looking for a responsible and creative Assistant Fashion Designer who can support both design and day-to-day production coordination.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Issue cutting instructions to cutting masters

• Monitor stitching lines and coordinate with the production team

• Track daily production, packing status, and order requirements

• Ensure samples and production meet quality standards

• Stay aware of daily orders and timelines

• Support the lead designer throughout the process

• Assist during fittings and sample development

Who We’re Looking For:

• Background or experience in fashion design / garment production

• Knowledge of embroidery, textiles, and fabrics

• Understanding of garment construction, cutting, and fittings

• Ability to coordinate between design and production teams

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Good communication and teamwork abilities

• Knowledge of design software is an advantage

• Interest in sustainable and ethical fashion practices is a plus
