Assistant General Manager — 6R Hospitality (Tribeca • Park Slope • West Village • Upper East Side • Upper West Side) ABOUT THE ROLE Our destinations are not places where people clock in and take orders. They are places where stories are told and legends are born over labneh and shakshuka, craft cocktails, steak frites & dirty duck fried rice. Our restaurants are where regulars feel like friends & neighbors, and where the person across the table usually leaves having experienced something they didn't expect. The Assistant General Manager is the engine that keeps that running — the person on the floor making sure every shift lands the way it should. We're looking for an AGM who treats hospitality as an act of giving — not a transaction — and who's hungry to grow into a GM seat. Someone who runs a clean, calm service, develops the team in real time, and notices the things a guest never says out loud. WHO YOU ARE
You're a floor leader — guests see you, the team feels you, the energy of the room follows you You're learning the business side of the business: labor, cost of goods, scheduling, the P&L You give feedback in the moment, kindly and clearly, without making it weird You're composed at peak volume and curious during the slow hours You want a GM seat — and you're willing to do the work to earn it
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Run service: pre-shift, expo when needed, table touches, recovery, close Own scheduling, training, and onboarding for the FOH team alongside the GM Coach servers and hosts on the menu, the wine list, and the moments that turn first-timers into regulars Partner with the kitchen to keep the line and the floor moving as one team Manage inventory counts, vendor check-ins, and daily reporting so the GM can focus on what only the GM can do Step in as the senior manager on duty when the GM is off — and run the building like it's yours
WHAT YOU BRING
2+ years in a FOH leadership role (lead server, captain, floor manager, or AGM) in full-service NYC Working knowledge of Toast and a scheduling platform; comfort reading a daily sales report Strong wine and cocktail knowledge, or a real eagerness to build it fast Mediterranean / Middle Eastern cuisine experience is a plus Ability to stand, move, and lead a floor for 10+ hour shifts across lunch, dinner, and weekends
