Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our growing team. The AGM plays a critical leadership role in supporting restaurant operations, mentoring staff, driving service excellence, and ensuring the successful day-to-day execution of the business.
This role serves as a key bridge between management and frontline teams, helping create a culture of accountability, hospitality, and operational excellence while preparing for continued growth opportunities within Éxodo Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Leadership
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations and execution
- Lead shifts while ensuring smooth service flow and exceptional guest experiences
- Foster a positive, high-performing culture through leadership and accountability
- Lead by example and uphold Éxodo standards across all operational areas
- Assist in implementing systems and procedures that improve efficiency
Team Development
- Train, coach, and mentor front-of-house and support staff
- Assist with onboarding and performance development initiatives
- Support employee engagement and retention efforts
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with scheduling and labor management to maintain labor goals
- Support payroll processes and ensure timekeeping accuracy
- Assist with inventory management and ordering processes
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics including sales trends, labor, and cost controls
- Support administrative duties and reporting as needed
Guest Experience
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and proactively
- Build relationships with guests to create loyalty and repeat business
- Ensure consistent hospitality standards and service execution
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and operational standards throughout the restaurant
- Support company policies and procedures
Leadership Support
- Step into leadership responsibilities during the General Manager’s absence
- Assist with special projects and initiatives across the restaurant group as needed
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and guest experience
- Experience with POS systems, scheduling, inventory, and labor management tools
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
- Knowledge or passion for Nikkei, Peruvian, or Latin cuisine is highly valued
